Properties of Blue Lace Agate

Blue Lace Agate consists of alternating bands of white and pale blue, resembling the appearance of lace fabric, which is reflected in its name. 

Similar to other types of agate, the distinctive bands in Blue Lace Agate are formed by the layering of various flows of slow-moving lava, a process that takes millions of years. The resulting stone is truly remarkable and well worth the wait.

This particular type of agate is primarily sourced from South Africa, although smaller quantities have also been discovered in China, Brazil, India, and select locations within the United States.

The druzy pockets in these are so sugary!
